BOLINA BOOMS WINDSOR REPAIR - Feb 2019

On Monday 18th February 2019 we mobilised crew and equipment travelling by river to Windsor (Romney Lock), arriving and set up by Tuesday 19th February.

We prepared site and began clearing the Bolina boom system upstream of Romney Lock as per our original report dated 25th October 2018.

We also repaired the riser on Pile No 1 effecting a free running vertical rising unit in common with the other piles.

The repair undertaken was painted and the unit was tested to ensure the boom operates correctly, rising freely on the rails.

Demobilisation to Hampton from Romney Lock took place yesterday 20th February 2019.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Bolina Booms commissioned the hire of plant and equipment along with staff to effect the repair of the boom already in situ as part of measures to protect the river environment from the adverse effects of debris pollution.
